Congratulations to our 2024 Miss Westfair, Monica Osborn!

Monica is the daughter of Michelle Osborn and James Vogel and will be a senior at Treynor Community High School this fall. She is currently serving as her school's Student Body President and is active in speech and debate at All-State levels, President of the Junior Optimist International Club, a co-captain of the color guard team, and in chorus. In 4-H she is the president of her club, Silver Keg Feeders, serves on the Iowa State 4-H Council, and recent traveled to Washington D.C. for the National 4-H Conference. When she is not busy with responsibilities, she enjoys writing about her passions and advocating for youth involvement in civic engagement.

These are just a couple fun facts about her:

My most cherished Westfair memory is from this year. The 2024 Westfair Queen Court got to ride in a vintage blue Camaro around the arena. It was so fun to be recognized by the fairgoers and spend time with these wonderful young women!

My favorite food obviously has to be the Cattleman's Steak Sandwiches.

I am so excited to get involved with Westfair's Capitol Campaign in the next year. I am interested to hear people's perspectives and work on making our fair even better!

Some advice I would give to other 4-Her's would be: to get involved in anything and everything! 4-H is such a powerful opportunity for you to pursue your passions and try new things. It caters to every interest and is always teaching you lifelong skills. It doesn't hurt to try something new!
